Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Interimate — the desktop app and this website at interimate.com (the "Service"), operated by Interimate ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Interimate is a reminder app with an animated character that appears on your screen to prompt healthy habits (water, stretching, eye breaks, meds, and anything you set). We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and for paid plans, at least 18).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, don't:

• break the law or infringe others' rights while using it;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• resell or redistribute the Service without permission;
• upload content that is illegal, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share (for example, when requesting a custom buddy, only upload photos of yourself or that you're authorized to use).

4. Plans & billing

• Free plan: includes the default buddies and a limited number of reminders, at no cost.
• Pro plan: a paid monthly subscription (₹199/month unless a different price or coupon is shown at checkout) that unlocks all characters, unlimited reminders, full app access, and one custom buddy.
• Autopay: Pro is a recurring subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Razorpay) to automatically charge your chosen payment method each month until you cancel.
• Coupons: if you apply a valid coupon, its discount applies to your subscription as described at checkout.
• Price changes: we may change plan pricing. Any change applies to future billing cycles, and we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.

5. Cancellation & refunds

• You can cancel autopay at any time from the pricing page. When you cancel, your subscription does not renew again, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Payments already made are generally non-refundable, since you retain access for the paid period.
• If you were charged in error or believe there's a problem, contact support@interimate.com within 7 days of the charge and we'll review it in good faith. Refunds, where granted, are processed back to your original payment method via Razorpay.

6. Custom buddies & your content

If you request a custom buddy, you give us permission to use the photos you send solely to create and deliver that buddy for you. You confirm you have the right to share those photos. You keep ownership of your content; we don't claim it beyond what's needed to provide the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The Interimate name, logo, app, and website are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our branding except to use the Service as intended. Character designs available in the app are provided for your personal use within Interimate.

8. Availability & changes

We work to keep the Service running but don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Interimate is a reminder tool and is not a medical, health, or professional service — don't rely on it for critical or medical needs.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment, disclaimers, and liability) will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
