This Privacy Policy explains what information Interimate ("Interimate", "we", "us", or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Interimate is a desktop reminder app (for Windows and macOS) and this website at interimate.com. By using Interimate, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information (when you sign in)
We use Google Sign-In. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier with us. We do not receive or store your Google password.
App data you create
Your reminders and settings (such as reminder text, schedules, chosen buddies, and preferences) are stored on your device. If you sign in, these are also synced to our servers so they follow you across your devices. We also store which characters ("buddies") you own and your plan.
Payment information
Payments and subscriptions are processed by Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles those directly. We store your subscription status, order records, the amount, and any coupon used.
Feedback and custom-buddy requests
When you contact us through the feedback page, we receive the subject, your message, your email, and any images you choose to upload (for example, photos for a custom buddy). These are emailed to our support address and may be stored to process your request.
Usage and technical data
- Download logs: when you download the app, we log the time, your name/email, platform, and browser user-agent.
- Analytics: we may use Google Analytics to understand website traffic (pages visited, device/browser type, approximate region). This helps us improve the product.
- Technical: your IP address is processed to operate the service and prevent abuse (for example, rate-limiting feedback).
- Cookies & local storage: we use a secure, signed cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage for small preferences like your light/dark theme.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the service — sign-in, syncing your reminders and buddies across devices, and delivering the app.
- To process payments, manage your subscription, and apply coupons.
- To respond to your feedback and build requested custom buddies.
- To send essential emails (such as a welcome email and replies to your messages).
- To understand usage, fix bugs, improve features, and keep the service secure.
3. Service providers we share data with
We don't sell your personal data. We share only what's needed with the providers that run the service:

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers operated by the providers above, which may be located outside your country. By using Interimate, you consent to this transfer and storage.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and synced data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (for example, payment records required for tax or accounting).
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to export it. To do any of these — or to delete your account entirely — email support@interimate.com from your account email and we'll take care of it.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out add-on, and you can sign out of the app at any time to stop syncing.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including signed session cookies and secure (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Interimate is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected here. Continued use of Interimate after changes means you accept the updated policy.
